Old South Church is a historic 19th-century church known for its elegant architecture and deep ties to the town’s cultural and spiritual history. Built in 1798, designed by Asher Benjamin, and rebuilt in its current form in the mid-1800s, the church remains an important landmark and gathering place, reflecting Windsor’s long tradition of community, faith, and civic life.
 

WVHA collects, preserves, and interprets genealogical, biographical, and historical matter pertaining to the town of Windsor. They strive to promote awareness of and interest in the development and evolution of the town and those individuals, associations and organizations composing it by making our resources accessible to researchers, genealogists, and the public.

Spanning the Connecticut River between Windsor, Vermont, and Cornish, New Hampshire, the Cornish–Windsor Covered Bridge is the longest wooden covered bridge in the United States and a National Historic Landmark. Built in 1866, this iconic red bridge offers stunning views of the river and Mount Ascutney, and remains open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It is one of the most photographed landmarks in the Upper Valley and a must-see stop.

Windsor’s historic preservation efforts celebrate and protect the town’s rich architectural and cultural heritage, including its role as the Birthplace of Vermont. Through stewardship, education, and community partnerships, local organizations work to maintain historic buildings, interpret key landmarks, and promote awareness of Windsor’s history.
 

Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park preserves the home, studios, and gardens of renowned sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Stroll beautifully landscaped grounds, explore inspiring art galleries, enjoy outdoor sculptures, and experience a unique blend of art, history, and nature in a picturesque setting.

The West Windsor Historical Society (WWHS) was founded in 1973 to preserve and disseminate the history of West Windsor through its museum, community events and educational programs. The Society actively collects and maintains artifacts, historical records, oral history, maps and photography.

Located along the Connecticut River, Great River Outfitters offers guided and self-guided kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and river adventures, along with riverside camping and outdoor recreation. The property is also home to the Path of Life Sculpture Garden, a peaceful, walkable outdoor art installation featuring symbolic sculptures, landscaped trails, and scenic river views. 
 

Old Constitution House the site where delegates gathered in July 1777 to adopt the Constitution of the independent Republic of Vermont. This modest tavern and meeting house played a pivotal role in the founding of Vermont and remains a powerful symbol of the state's early history. The building is currently closed for interior tours, but visitors are welcome to view and photograph the exterior as part of the Windsor Historic Walking Tour.

The Windsor Public Library is a welcoming community hub offering books, digital resources, programs, and events for all ages. Housed in a historic building overlooking State Street Common, it plays an important role in local education, culture, and community life, and serves as a key stop along the Historic Walking Tour.
